Emerging Artists Mentors, the Terra String Quartet Wins 2025 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition

Music for Youth is excited to share that the Terra String Quartet (TSQ), one of today’s most compelling chamber ensembles, won the 2025 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition. This honor includes major recital engagements, a commissioned work, and a recording—recognition that places TSQ among the top young quartets on the international stage. We are especially thrilled to be collaborating with TSQ through our Emerging Artists program, culminating in a concert on June 14, 2026 at the Wilton Library, where two Music for Youth Emerging Artists will have the chance to play alongside the quartet.

Formed by violinists Harriet Langley and Amelia Dietrich, violist Chih-Ta Chen, and cellist Audrey Chen, the New York–based Terra String Quartet has quickly built an extraordinary résumé. They are grand prize winners of the 2022 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with additional top prizes at the Bordeaux, Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, and Osaka international competitions. Currently, the Fellowship Quartet-in-Residence at Yale University, TSQ is known for its expressive storytelling, artistic excellence, and deep commitment to education—qualities that make this partnership with Music for Youth a perfect fit.
